Nowruz - A pagan holiday of Zoroastrianism, forbidden!
Praise be to Allah, Who created us Muslims, and benefited with Jihad on His path, and gave us an opportunity to deserve a Heaven.
Peace and blessings be upon His Prophet Muhammad, who is the leader of all Mujahideen, upon his family, companions and all who followed his way till the Judgment day.
Allah, The Greatest and Glorious, says in His book:
"And I have not created the jinn and the men except that they should serve Me". (The Holy Quran, Surah 51. "The Winnowing Winds", verse 56)
"And if you obey most of those in the earth, they will lead you astray from Allah's way..." (The Holy Quran, Surah 6. "The Cattle", verse 116)
"And certainly We sent before you apostles to their people, so they came to them with clear arguments, then We gave the punishment to those who were guilty; and helping the believers is ever incumbent on Us". (The Holy Quran, Surah 30. "The Romans", verse 47)
We will say couple of words about "Nowruz holiday" or "Yaran Suvar" as it is called in Province Dagestan, Caucasus Emirate.
This subject is important not only for Azerbaijani people, but for many Muslims, or who "tries to be so". The Islam is spreading in Azerbaijan nowadays by the will of Allah and through Dawah of diligent Muslims.
But at the same time, on these places the dirty ideas of infidelity are spreading out. The majority of population follows the infidelity like all over the world.
One of the most "beloved and good holidays" in Azerbaijan, also in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Tatarstan and some territories of occupied Caucasus Emirate is Nowruz.
Muslims are categorically forbidden to celebrate the pagan holiday. Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said:
"Whoever imitates any other nations belongs to that nation"
Where did the Nowruz come from? What "important" events occurred on that day?
Zoroaster (Zarathustra or Zartosht), a prophet of fire worshipers, was chosen as a God to bring a happiness to people, the mythical king Tahmuras sent mad souls and pitiless people to a dungeon, and Gushtasp, the queen of Kaetun and Jamasp, accepted the religion of Mazdean, a so-called Zoroastrianism, etc.
The birth of Nowruz is also connected with the mythical king Jamshid, on whom sun rays fell that day. According to Avesta's ideology, people have to celebrate the beginning of the life on the Earth in six forms (sky, water, earth, plants, animals and human) every spring.
This "holiday" absolutely contradicts to Islam, and it is pagan. It is strange that nowadays some "religious" people celebrate this holiday. If you ask them why, they would say:
"Once people brought a gift to Ali ibn Abu Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) for Nowruz.
He asked "what is it2?"
They replied: "O Emir of believers, this is the day of Nowruz".
He said: "Then make everyday Nowruz""
(it contains in the book of Al-Beihaghi as-Sunan al-Kubra 9/532).
However, not many of them would give the name of the book, and none of them will tell this part of the story in a right way:
"Then make every day Fairuz (instead of Nowruz)!" said Ali ibn Abu Talib.
Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah be pleased with him) said about this matter:
"Ali even did not want to use the name that they gave to their holiday. Not to speak about things they do during their holidays".
(Iqtida As Sirat Al Mustaqim 1/954)
All efforts of "muftis and imams" to present an Islamic image for the infidelity are wrong. And whoever believes them does not think enough.
Islam and infidelity will never come together SubhanAllah!
We ask all Muslims not to become like pagans. In these days, starting from Tatarstan and till far away in India, people burn bonfires, boys jump and "get rid of weights". This is superstition and paganism.
People buy a lot of food, spend a lot of time, instead of reading Koran and hadiths and think about them.
In many schools of Azerbaijan people celebrate this infidel holiday.
To jump over a bonfire seven times in turn or to jump over seven bonfires on Wednesday before Nowruz became obligatory. And those young men who try to follow Islam will be called "wahabbies", for sure.
