55:1 | الرَّحمَانُ The Most Beneficent (Allah)! Ar-Raĥmanu |
55:2 | عَلَّمَ القُرآنَ Has taught (you mankind) the Qur'an (by His Mercy). `Allama Al-Qur'ana |
55:3 | خَلَقَ الإِنسَانَ He created man. Khalaqa Al-'Insana |
55:4 | عَلَّمَهُ البَيَانَ He taught him eloquent speech. `Allamahu Al-Bayana |
55:5 | الشَّمسُ وَالقَمَرُ بِحُسبَان ٍ The sun and the moon run on their fixed courses (exactly) calculated with measured out stages for each (for reckoning, etc.). Ash-Shamsu Wa Al-Qamaru Biĥusbanin |
55:6 | وَالنَّجْمُ وَالشَّجَرُ يَسجُدَانِ And the herbs (or stars) and the trees both prostrate. Wa An-Najmu Wa Ash-Shajaru Yasjudani |
55:7 | وَالسَّمَاءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ المِيزَانَ And the heaven He has raised high, and He has set up the Balance. Wa As-Sama'a Rafa`aha Wa Wađa`a Al-Mizana |
55:8 | أَلاَّ تَطْغَوا فِي المِيزَانِ In order that you may not transgress (due) balance. 'Alla Taţghaw Fi Al-Mizani |
55:9 | وَأَقِيمُوا الوَزنَ بِالقِسطِ وَلاَ تُخسِرُوا المِيزَانَ And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. Wa 'Aqimū Al-Wazna Bil-Qisţi Wa La Tukhsirū Al-Mizana |
55:10 | وَالأَرضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلأَنَامِ And the earth He has put for the creatures. Wa Al-'Arđa Wađa`aha Lil'anami |
55:11 | فِيهَا فَاكِهَة ٌ وَالنَّخلُ ذَاتُ الأَكمَامِ Therein are fruits, date-palms producing sheathed fruit-stalks (enclosing dates). Fiha Fakihatun Wa An-Nakhlu Dhatu Al-'Akmami |
55:12 | وَالحَبُّ ذُو العَصفِ وَالرَّيحَانُ And also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-scented plants. Wa Al-Ĥabbu Dhū Al-`Aşfi Wa Ar-Rayĥanu |
55:13 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:14 | خَلَقَ الإِنسَانَ مِنصَلصَال ٍ كَالفَخَّارِ He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery. Khalaqa Al-'Insana Min Şalşalin Kalfakhkhari |
55:15 | وَخَلَقَ الجَانَّ مِنمَارِج ٍ مِننَار ٍ And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. Wa Khalaqa Al-Janna Min Marijin Min Narin |
55:16 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:17 | رَبُّ المَشرِقَينِ وَرَبُّ المَغرِبَينِ (He is) the Lord of the two easts (places of sunrise during early summer and early winter) and the Lord of the two wests (places of sunset during early summer and early winter). Rabbu Al-Mashriqayni Wa Rabbu Al-Maghribayni |
55:18 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:19 | مَرَجَ البَحرَينِ يَلتَقِيَانِ He has let loosed the two seas (the salt water and the sweet) meeting together. Maraja Al-Baĥrayni Yaltaqiyani |
55:20 | بَينَهُمَا بَرزَخ ٌ لاَ يَبْغِيَانِ Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. Baynahuma Barzakhun La Yabghiyani |
55:21 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:22 | يَخرُجُ مِنهُمَا اللُّؤلُؤُ وَالمَرجَانُ Out of them both come out pearl and coral. Yakhruju Minhuma Al-Lu'ulu'uu Wa Al-Marjanu |
55:23 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:24 | وَلَهُ الجَوَارِ المُنشَآتُ فِي البَحرِ كَالأَعلاَمِ And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. Wa Lahu Al-Jawari Al-Munsha'atu Fi Al-Baĥri Kal'a`lami |
55:25 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:26 | كُلُّ مَن عَلَيهَا فَان ٍ Whatsoever is on it (the earth) will perish. Kullu Man `Alayha Fanin |
55:27 | وَيَبْقَى وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو الجَلاَلِ وَالإِكرَامِ And the Face of your Lord full of Majesty and Honour will abide forever. Wa Yabqá Wajhu Rabbika Dhū Al-Jalali Wa Al-'Ikrami |
55:28 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:29 | يَسأَلُه ُُ مَنفِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرضِ كُلَّ يَومٍ هُوَ فِي شَأْن ٍ Whosoever is in the heavens and on earth begs of Him (its needs from Him). Every day He has a matter to bring forth (such as giving honour to some, disgrace to some, life to some, death to some, etc.)! Yas'aluhu Man Fi As-Samawati Wa Al-'Arđi Kulla Yawmin Huwa Fi Sha'nin |
55:30 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:31 | سَنَفرُغُ لَكُم أَيُّهَا الثَّقَلاَنِ We shall attend to you, O you two classes (jinns and men)! Sanafrughu Lakum 'Ayyuha Ath-Thaqalani |
55:32 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:33 | يَامَعشَرَ الجِنِّ وَالإِنسِ إِنِ استَطَعتُم أَنتَنفُذُوا مِن أَقْطَارِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرضِ فَانفُذُوا لاَ تَنفُذُونَ إِلاَّ بِسُلطَان ٍ O assembly of jinns and men! If you have power to pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, then pass (them)! But you will never be able to pass them, except with authority (from Allah)! Ya Ma`shara Al-Jinni Wa Al-'Insi 'Ini Astaţa`tum 'An Tanfudhū Min 'Aqţari As-Samawati Wa Al-'Arđi Fanfudhū La Tanfudhūna 'Illa Bisulţanin |
55:34 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:35 | يُرسَلُ عَلَيكُمَا شُوَاظ ٌ مِننَار ٍ وَنُحَاس ٌ فَلاَ تَنتَصِرَانِ There will be sent against you both, smokeless flames of fire and (molten) brass, and you will not be able to defend yourselves. Yursalu `Alaykuma Shuwažun Min Narin Wa Nuĥasun Fala Tantaşirani |
55:36 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:37 | فَإِذَا انشَقَّتِ السَّمَاءُ فَكَانَت وَردَة ً كَالدِّهَانِ Then when the heaven is rent asunder, and it becomes rosy or red like red-oil, or red hide. Fa'idha Anshaqqati As-Sama'u Fakanat Wardatan Kalddihani |
55:38 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:39 | فَيَومَئِذ ٍ لاَ يُسأَلُ عَنذَنْبِهِ~ِ إِنس ٌ وَلاَ جَانّ ٌ So on that Day no question will be asked of man or jinn as to his sin, (because they have already been known from their faces either white or black). Fayawma'idhin La Yus'alu `An Dhanbihi 'Insun Wa La Jannun |
55:40 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:41 | يُعرَفُ المُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَاهُم فَيُؤخَذُ بِالنَّوَاصِي وَالأَقْدَامِ The Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, sinners, etc.) will be known by their marks (black faces), and they will be seized by their forelocks and their feet. Yu`rafu Al-Mujrimūna Bisimahum Fayu'ukhadhu Bin-Nawaşi Wa Al-'Aqdami |
55:42 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:43 | هَذِه ِِ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا المُجْرِمُونَ This is Hell which the Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, sinners, etc.) denied. Hadhihi Jahannamu Allati Yukadhdhibu Biha Al-Mujrimūna |
55:44 | يَطُوفُونَ بَينَهَا وَبَينَ حَمِيم ٍ آن ٍ They will go between it (Hell) and the boiling hot water! Yaţūfūna Baynaha Wa Bayna Ĥamimin 'Ānin |
55:45 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:46 | وَلِمَن خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّه ِِ جَنَّتَانِ But for him who [the true believer of Islamic Monotheism who performs all the duties ordained by Allah and His Messenger Muhammad SAW , and keeps away (abstain) from all kinds of sin and evil deeds prohibited in Islam and] fears the standing before his Lord, there will be two Gardens (i.e. in Paradise). Wa Liman Khafa Maqama Rabbihi Jannatani |
55:47 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:48 | ذَوَاتَا أَفنَان ٍ With spreading branches; Dhawata 'Afnanin |
55:49 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:50 | فِيهِمَا عَينَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ In them (both) will be two springs flowing (free) Fihima `Aynani Tajriyani |
55:51 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:52 | فِيهِمَا مِنكُلِّ فَاكِهَة ٍ زَوجَانِ In them (both) will be every kind of fruit in pairs. Fihima Min Kulli Fakihatin Zawjani |
55:53 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:54 | مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَى فُرُش ٍ بَطَائِنُهَا مِنإِستَبْرَق ٍ وَجَنَى الجَنَّتَينِ دَان ٍ Reclining upon the couches lined with silk brocade, and the fruits of the two Gardens will be near at hand. Muttaki'ina `Alá Furushin Baţa'inuha Min 'Istabraqin Wa Janá Al-Jannatayni Danin |
55:55 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:56 | فِيهِنَّ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرفِ لَم يَطْمِثهُنَّ إِنْس ٌ قَبْلَهُم وَلاَ جَانّ ٌ Wherein both will be those (maidens) restraining their glances upon their husbands, whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them. Fihinna Qaşiratu Aţ-Ţarfi Lam Yaţmithhunna 'Insun Qablahum Wa La Jannun |
55:57 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:58 | كَأَنَّهُنَّ اليَاقُوتُ وَالمَرجَانُ (In beauty) they are like rubies and coral. Ka'annahunna Al-Yaqūtu Wa Al-Marjanu |
55:59 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:60 | هَل جَزَاءُ الإِحسَانِ إِلاَّ الإِحسَانُ Is there any reward for good other than good? Hal Jaza'u Al-'Iĥsani 'Illa Al-'Iĥsanu |
55:61 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:62 | وَمِندُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ And besides these two, there are two other Gardens (i.e. in Paradise). Wa Min Dūnihima Jannatani |
55:63 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:64 | مُدْهَامَّتَانِ Dark green (in colour). Mud/hammatani |
55:65 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:66 | فِيهِمَا عَينَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ In them (both) will be two springs gushing forth water. Fihima `Aynani Nađđakhatani |
55:67 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:68 | فِيهِمَا فَاكِهَة ٌ وَنَخل ٌ وَرُمَّان ٌ In them (both) will be fruits, and date- palms and pomegranates. Fihima Fakihatun Wa Nakhlun Wa Rummanun |
55:69 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:70 | فِيهِنَّ خَيرَاتٌ حِسَان ٌ Therein (gardens) will be fair (wives) good and beautiful; Fihinna Khayratun Ĥisanun |
55:71 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:72 | حُور ٌ مَقْصُورَات ٌ فِي الخِيَامِ Houris (beautiful, fair females) restrained in pavilions; Ĥūrun Maqşūratun Fi Al-Khiyami |
55:73 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:74 | لَم يَطْمِثهُنَّ إِنس ٌ قَبْلَهُم وَلاَ جَانّ ٌ Whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them. Lam Yaţmithhunna 'Insun Qablahum Wa La Jannun |
55:75 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:76 | مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَى رَفرَفٍ خُضر ٍ وَعَبْقَرِيٍّ حِسَان ٍ Reclining on green cushions and rich beautiful mattresses. Muttaki'ina `Alá Rafrafin Khuđrin Wa `Abqariyin Ĥisanin |
55:77 | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Fabi'ayyi 'Āla'i Rabbikuma Tukadhdhibani |
55:78 | تَبَارَكَ اسمُ رَبِّكَ ذِي الجَلاَلِ وَالإِكرَامِ Blessed be the Name of your Lord (Allah), the Owner of Majesty and Honour. Tabaraka Asmu Rabbika Dhi Al-Jalali Wa Al-'Ikrami |
